Instead of commenting on someone’s appearance, focus on something they achieved, crushed, hit out-of-the-ballpark…. You know, a F$ck yes moment. “Maya - I love that dress” becomes “Maya, I was thinking this a.m. about how you nailed that Q/A last week. I can’t stand how freaking smart you are.”
